I do love to travel

I do love to try new things

I get bored easily

I love excitement and energy - that's probably why I enjoy football games and black friday shopping even though I don't understand the plays at the game nor do I buy anything special shopping.

I like people who are ethnically different from me, mostly if they speak a different language, and becoming friends with them.

I like small groups not large groups.

I like to experiment with food.

I like to sing camp songs and other songs where its ok to sing loud, off-key, and dance around at the same time.

I like teaching and tutoring. I don't know why, but it's one of the easiest things for me to get into.

I don't know where I want to go with my life. I'm not loving school - sometimes I feel that it confines my personal growth rather than stimulate it.
I do not exercise, read voluntarily, it is nice to get feed back from teachers but even that is not as often as would be helpful. I feel that to a degree, education is important for social circumstances--so that people will respect your opinion, what you say, and just you in general. I don't feel that my American Studies undergraduate carries that type of high academia regard.

I don't put my all into my work because I usually don't realize the long term rewards for doing so. Does it anyway?

What about my language? I love learning languages - where is that? What happened to that pursuit? Did I give it up? Am I just going in circles trying to go after too many things instead of focusing on one goal? Am I wasting my time here at college?

How did Kathy become such a great writer? What classes can I take or things can I do to be able to write as clear and catchy as that?

I am looking for guidance and direction. I don't know what classes will get me where I want to go, nor what areas I will excel in.

Things I do want to be or do well:

Write clearly and with my voice. (Clear Grammar)

Articulate my thoughts and opinions clearly.

Learn languages.

Understand business.

Awakening Resounding

Yes, the last time I posted I left as a full-time set-apart missionary. Now I am a married woman of three months in my last couple semesters of college. I was just talking to Taylor about where we are now - individually and collectively. Anyway just wanted to jot down one point that I don't want to slip away.
1) It's not the career that will frame your life, or what will define who you are. It is your discipleship to God.

Interesting because this is something that I have been stressing a lot over. What will I do when I graduate? Who will I be? I keep equating my identity with the name of the degree I have, the skills I've gained in college, and a specific job that I'll do. But that is not true. Who I am is not framed by those things. It is framed by where my heart is, what my desires are, and how I treat the people around me. Those things are a lot harder to measure so we seem to overlook them a lot.
